Laminating

I probably know the answer/response to this before I ask but here goes.

If you had a teamsheet in really poor conditions, torn, creased, etc, would you laminate it to preserve it?

what age is it. If it's pretty much worthless then why not? but i wouldn't make a habit of it.

It hasn't a monetary value and its about thirty years old. I found it in the coal house (aka the household dumping space!) a while back - and it has suffered the effects of being left in a void that is rarely entered into!

I have in the past laminated a couple of posters which have suffered wear and tear and that worked well, but I know the 'professional' advice usually isn't to laminate stuff as it can cause damage that can may not be able to be reversed.
