Sorry to bother everyone but does anyone know where I can find a list of post-war postponed/abandoned matches.

Many Thanks

I think Programme Monthly has started compiling a database of such matches by collating submissions from readers but I do not know how far it has progressed or how comprehensive it will be. In the absence of any other suggestions they may be able to give you an update.

I think the simple answer is basically no.

Given the fact that collectors of individual clubs have difficulty producing such a list for their own club should put it into perspective.

Then actually determining whether or not their was a programme produced/or in known existance for the games themselves, would be a monumental task as let again many collectors for individual clubs don't even know themselves.

There's a post on the forum where members uploaded their clubs postponed matches which would be a good start to your quest, although it was about 6 months ago and i can't find the link after doing a quick search but its there somewhere,

If this is your quest mate then good luck with it ,but think you will be struggling re 61/62 season when there was umpteen fixtures called of because of the realy bad wheather, if i can recall some teams never had a fixture for up to eight weeks.
Best of luck with this one friend ,think you are going to need it.

I don't think there is a list of postponed matches anywhere online let alone one saying if there were programmes from the matches.
I will definitely pay to see such a list if the PM experts come up with one.

Do any of the Everton fans know if there was a Bolton v Everton postponed issue in 78/79, in addition to the abandoned match and rearranged match?

I haven't seen a postponed programme only the abandoned one and the game that was played in April. What date was the postponed game?

Try this link as a starter http://www.footballprogrammece.....mp;start=0

As Cossie mentioned, I'm sure that there is a similar thread produced approx 6 months ago.
Thumbs Up

It was rearranged and postponed on Saturday 27 January, the Fa Cup 4th Round day because both teams had been knocked out.

This sort of this could be ideally served by a wiki page.

I have included postponed and abandoned's in the scope of the project at www.thefootballarchives.com

Not much in terms of data for them as yet, as I've been busy adding actual fixtures that were played (now stands at 420,104 matches) with over a million appearances.

If you would like to contribute to this data (either with postponed games or abandoned, simply sign-up for an account and join in - It's FREE)

I will then have the option of including a programme cover for ALL matches, if it took place or not.

Example Abandoned game:

THE Bolton match previously discussed
