1927 Elgin City v Clyde Scottish Cup Programme????

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has ever heard or seen a copy of the programme for the Scottish Cup tie Elgin City v Clyde in 1927...this to the best of my knowledge would be earliest programme involving Clyde if it exists.

I would be very grateful if anyone has any info on this programme if they could let me know.

Anyone any suggestions of what would be Clyde's earliest programme if this one was a non-programme...the earliest I have heard of 16 Sep 1933 Hibernian v Clyde..can anyone beat that?

No idea about the Elgin programme but would think it highly unlikely that a programme was issued.
Do you know if Clyde issued prior to 46/7 season?.
I have in my collection clyde v qos 8/3/47 programme number 4 from memory and i believe the first issue that season was v Third Lanark on 11/1/47.
I have only ever heard about one other 46/7 ( v hearts). They seem to be as rare as hens teeth.

Yes, Clyde's first season of issuing programmes was 1946/47 and you are certainly right about these being like hens teeth...thanks for your help.

I have e-mailed Brian to see if he has any info on the prog..if anyone ever sees it or gets any info please let me know.

Clyde v Hearts 1 - 3 - 47. Programme for this game. Clyde v Hearts League Cup 21 - 9 - 46 there was no programme. Hearts v Clyde 12 - 10 - 46 League Cup and 9 - 11 - 46 there was programmes for both. Hope that helps.

Clyde played Manchester United in a friendly on 19/10/1955.
There was no programme for this game.
When Clyde played Manchester United in a pre season friendly in July 2005 i was a guest of Clyde who made me the "guest" away fan and did a feature on my programme collection.
In this programme they put a photo of the programme from 1955(remember it didn't exist)
I couldn't concentrate on the game and spent all day trying to find out who had the original only to find out the editor was taking the piss and the programme did not exist.
he had cocked something up for a bit of fun
