I wonder if anyone can help me here. I'm popping back home for a few weeks holiday next week, and would like to know if anyone knows of a shop in London or the the London area that sells programmes or has a decent selection of football/sports books, if there is here's hoping they have'nt been looted or burnt to the ground by the time i get there, cheers Mick

Slightly off-topic, but a few matches scheduled to be played tonight have been called off in the wake of the rioting. And the first thing I thought of was the programmes for these games fetching silly prices in years to come... No

If progs were printed for these postponed cup games, then it would make economic sense for them to be used for the re-arranged dates. Hopefully, the passage of time won't be too great so they won't be too out-of-date, as things must surely calm down soon? Please.

The world's gone mad.

Not like the old days in more ways than one. 1958/59 Bury v York FAC on November 16th - abandoned due to fog.....new prog for the re-played game 3 days later! 1960/61 Tranmere v York FAC - prog for postponed game on the Saturday, whole new prog for the re-arranged game a few days later! On the other extreme, you always feel ripped off in attending a re-arranged league game in, say, March, and getting the programme from the original match that was called off at Xmas!
