or if you wish to discuss - how much would you value it at

It would be hard to estimate how much over the years I have spent - perhaps not that much given that I went to a lot of the games... but must be several thousand to replace I'd guess - especially my Everton: An History 1878-1928 Original Copy (no dust jacket tho!)

I bought a database and had a field for how much I spent but in the end it was too much effort to use so I developed my own spreadsheets so lost all the data.

I'd guess I'd have spent a few thousand by now.

I really don't think I could even come close to be able to work out how much I have spent.
Don't think I want to know either.
All I know is it is certainly waaaaaaay too much.
And the spending is far from over.

Over the years I've never spent a single penny out of my wages. I started out with £50 in 1986, and mainly modern Grimsby Town programmes, and have bought and sold since then from that initial outlay.
Used to collect Grimsby Town, but sold them up when I migrated to Scotland in 1991. Started to collect Scottish Junior in 1991 when I started watching Auchinleck, and amassed one of the best collections of Junior programmes / memorabilia in Scotland, before illness and no sick pay necessitated me selling it. With the dregs of the money left over from that I started buying and selling more English non league and 1940' sand 50's.
Have a "fluid" collection that changes every so often when I sell a few to buy something different. This means I'm not always chasing an elusive one or two programmes and spending huge amounts of money, and keeping a hobby alive that was in danger of dying when I couldn't pick anything new in Scottish Junior rare items any more.
Now also have a small library of football books - club histories and biographies that's starting to take over the house as well. Still in pocket though!
