Sheffield United played just one season in this competition (1994/95), I have the home fixtures against Udinese and Ancona in my collection but am missing the away fixtures at Piacenza and Cesena - very hard to find but does anyone know where I might be able to obtain one.

I don't think the Italian clubs were big on programmes for these fixtures, I think you'd be hard pushed to find any Italian club at home, versus anyone in this competition let alone United, except for finals.

However, there is a teamsheet for both games, (I need the Cesena one!)

Cheers Sharrow. I thought that may be the case but if you don't ask!

That is a good idea, where did you manage to obtain these?

Off top of my head I've a few AIC programmes, I've soe from WBA and I believe Swindon vs. Ascoli (94/95?), if I can find them I'll make a list.

Hi Mate,

Neither game in Italy produced a programme. But both did do team sheets. I went to the Piacenza game.

Hope that helps.

I've only ever seen ONE and that was from the year that Huddersfield entered - the Bologna (a) game and I have recently acquired it. Nothing special - just a single folded sheet.

Notts County made the final in 1994 and 1995, winning it in 1995. but iv never been able to find any programmes from the games we played in Italy. yet programmes from our home fixtures seem to crop up fairly regularly on Ebay

Back up everything said above for when Wolves competed in 1994-95. No programmes for the games in Italy but teamsheets issued.

You mean unlike the Greedy League where only two or three teams are ever going to win it? Wink

even though we were pretty succesfull in it, nobody really cared did they? only have to look at the empty stadiums until the teams made the semi finals and all of a sudden had a chance of a trip to wembley.

Read an interesting fact in the brilliant book 'GOT ... NOT GOT' last night.

The Napoli v Swindon final of 1970 was the very FIRST game in Italy to have any kind of programme printed for it.

Well, I never! Surprised Nod
