The Arsenal V Cardiff City 1927 Football Program help wanted

Hi there,

I have recently been left a number of items by my grandfather.

Amongst them is a Black and White Programme from The Arsenal v Cardiff City April 23rd 1927 game.

I've seen via Ebay that the originals fetch around £1500, although mine isnt in Mint Condition owing to wear and tear but no scribbles.

I was wondering if there is a reputable evaluator in London, or if anyone has this copy themselves so that they can give me feedback on how to tell if it is definatly an original and not a reprint as seem to be circulating in Colour versions.

I would be willing to consider selling the programme following evaluation or further discussion.

Hi Tara,

If you look on the back page, at the very bottom it probably says in small writing "Reproduced and Printed by PPP Cardiff 1/80".

It was reproduced in January 1980 when we played Arsenal in an FA Cup 3rd round tie.

Yes, if it has that statement it means its a reprint.
