No game for me today as Norwich are out of the cup. I always seem to get this weekend off each season.

So another bet to keep me going:- Wins for Leicester, Scunthorpe, Sheff U and West Ham.

Yes!!! Another win!

Played last night, new ground for me, so new programme in the collection!

So new bet today - Bradford, Wolves, Oldham and Burnley. 7/1.

Game off again today - like hundreds of others, no doubt, in both the professional and amateur game.
Have spent the morning preparing a fabulous meal for tonight. Got a decent sized free range chicken, jointed it, and carcass was browned in oli along with garlic, onions and carrots to make a soup base.
Chicken is marinading in feesh Italian herbs, olive oil, black pepper, salt and garlic in the fridge for about 6 hours. Will later brown the joints (breasts are away in the freezer) and deglaze the pan with red wine, add some of the stock made earlier, and pour over peppers. carropts, leeks and mushrooms on the bottom of the casserole dish. Will slow cook on a lowish heat in the oven for about two hours, when the chicken should be just about falling off the legs and thighs.
Will settle down afterwards with a bottle of merlot to watch the football "analysis" and up to date scores on BBC interactive.
Going to Murrayfield tomorrow to watch the sons of David hopefully get off to a winning start against Scotland. No danger of that being off.
Here's hoping for a Grimsby win today, even a draw would take us above Barnet and within touching distance of Chester and Acrrington. Bring it on...

Our game was off today so, instead of many pints of cider followed by a nice game of football followed by a few more pints I ended up going shopping with the wife.

Jeez i piggin hate it when the game is off.

Couldn't you have persuaded your wife to have a wee swally before and after the shopping? You could always dress it up as a "cultural experience" by advising her you're applying to do a Doctorate in organic cider production in the south west of England, and you've been given some homework, and fieldwork, to do before next week. She'll probably tell you to bugger off for a pint by yourself rather than dampen her weekend retail therapy.

Ventured up to my local Church mid-day to do some gardening, spent hour racking up leaves and two hours strimming head stones,no snow at all on Merseyside today, maintained lawn mowers for an hour getting ready for the big push mid March,Vicar kept me chatting for ages, late home for the footy results Wolves lost again its all going pear shaped im afraid for the men from Molineux.
