Hard on the heels of the successful inaugural Essex Retro Football Show, it returns to The Loughton Club on Sunday December 10th. Planning is now fully underway for the Essex Retro Football Show at The Loughton Club on Sunday December 10th. Timings slightly adjusted from the first one to 11am-2.30pm. A provisional list of stallholders will be available next week. I'm delighted to announce Peter Stewart - the longest-serving editor of Shoot!, who was in charge during the magazine's golden era - will be in attendance and has agreed to do a Q and A. More to follow.

Final update before Sunday's Essex Retro Football Show:

The Panini giveaway for the first 30 through the door from 10.30am (maximum two per family) is confirmed as a starter pack for the Panini Premier League 2024 sticker album (not out until later this week).

There is also an additional special guest joining Shoot! editor Peter Stewart with David Hunt - editor of Roy of the Rovers, Scorcher, Hot Shot, Battle, Eagle and others - also attending.

Peter and David will be there from 11am-1pm, doing a signing session and answering questions about their roles in the golden age of football comics/magazines.

Thanks a lot to everyone who came to yesterday's Essex Retro Football Show. More people came than the first event and the special guests added a bit of extra stardust to proceedings (Ray Houghton, Roger Morgan and greats of the football publishing world Peter Stewart and David Hunt). Details of the first show on next year to be confirmed soon. There will also be a Retro Cricket Show next summer.
