Can anyone tell me if a programme was produced for the Scottish League v English League played at Hampden Park on the 16th March 1955

Yes there was, a standard Scottish League programme. The year isn't printed on the cover, which makes it easy to miss.

To my knowledge the only post-war inter-league encounter involving either the Football League or Scottish League that *didn't* see a programme was for Scottish League v League of Ireland in 1952-53. No idea why... possibly clerical error, printers strike, whatever.

Scottish League v League of Ireland wasn't contested in 1946-47.

Scottish League v Football League wasn't contested in 1962-63.

Exception to that might be a couple of games on the continent. There were definitely issues for: Staevnet v Scottish League in 1955-56, Italian League v Football League in 1963-64, Belgian League v Football League in 1967-68 but not sure about Staevnet v Football League in 1952-53 or Italian League v Football League in 1960-61.

Italian League v Scottish League in 1962-63 = no programme.
