I was just looking up the films you can see in the two adverts.

It's fascinating reading about films from the silent era, when you think of the thousands which were made before 1929, between 75% and 90% are "lost" meaning no copies of them survive at all. Of those that did survive, very few are now ever watched apart from maybe the likes of Chaplin, Keaton and Laurel & Hardy

Loader, who was playing in the game went on to get a cap for England u21(if that what it was called then) - the photo is very faded and he was very small for his age. The year is 1922.

...back to that Bristol City programme, Bristol City Reserves played Bristol Rovers Reserves at Ashton Gate on 2nd April 1923 in a Southern League fixture.
