Yeah, the Accrington programme was definitely printed. I would be surprised if they reprinted when the game is finally played.

If anyone is interested in the Donny v Accy programme which was PP, let me know, the club issued a red fronted edition for subscribers, however the digital version had a gold cover and one of the internal pages was different.

The club have issued me with the PDF of the gold version this morning and I am going to get a small number printed which they have authorised.

Cheers
Gavin

I've ordered one from M60 programmes which I think will be the gold version by the looks of it.

No probs, they must have ripped it from the digital version as I am pretty confident I am the only person they have given permission to print it.

If anyone else is looking to buy, my version will be at cost £2 plus £1.40 p&p

Cheers

PompeyPete,

What was their rationale for it?

I think clubs have options that they are not exploring, to go to the effort of producing a programme and not printing it seems sacrilege!

Printing can be quite cheap if you look around, I know Doncaster have changed printers, they can get 100 (16 page) programmes printed for approx £70, if they sell 35 they are at break even point and that excludes any sponsorship revenue etc

Comes down to cost

Up to now a 76 page programme has been produced

At least the download is available so someone can get a hard copy printed.

If there,s money to be made someone will have a go !!

It’s been like the okey kokey, at the start of the season we had a subscription service and also sold them online, after the Sunderland game which from memory was October time the club said it would continue to provide a programme for those who had subscribed but not make any additional for sale online.
Recently it popped up that you could buy the Swindon and Gillingham programmes online, but actually when you try you get an error.
If you let me know what you are looking for, I will see if I can help

Cheers
Gavin

I was going to ask about the Portsmouth programme for Saturday since City will be visiting - a shame they've stopped at this stage before we get there. Are any formal programmes being made at all do you know or will it be a case of finding someone to print the PDF?

Doncaster are selling a package of stuff for their game called
"I wasn't there but would have been"

I guess they saw what Marine did against Spurs and thought why not try and sell something:

https://www.doncasterroversfc.co.uk/news/2021/january/i-wasnt-there-...-but-i-would-have-been-now-available-on-eventbrite/?fbclid=IwAR22x7xia8cgVeqs6F2hXT61Kt_p4iTuadfTAMxV7GDj1Rx6nYp_yGvJut4#.YAhkfc5ZRFU.facebook

The virtual package costs £10 (plus a £1.51 delivery fee) and will include a commemorative match ticket as well as all of the following:

A limited-edition commemorative pennant
Access to a special commemorative away team match programme including:
an exclusive interview with Darren Moore
an exclusive player interview
Your name listed in the programme (physical version only).
Entry into a prize draw to win a Doncaster Rovers FA Cup shirt or West Ham United home and away replica shirts signed by the squads.

(of course West Ham will sell the 'real' programme for the game)

We have sold 850 so far, not a bad idea!

We would have taken 5-6000 if it wasn’t for that pesky COVID

The printing may be relatively cheap, but selling 100 copies to make £130 probably doesn't make too much sense for the club.
I guess there will be some sort of delivery charge added onto the printing cost, plus then the club will need to actually post the programmes out (I know the postage cost can be handed down to the punters) but that will take someone a few hours at least to sort. The £130 profit is becoming less and less...

The sponsorship revenue would make the difference I guess, but then given the current economic climate will businesses be willing to pay for advertising to a 100 programme readers....

It's a shame. As a collector I wish all clubs issued for every game but sadly clubs don't make a decision to please us folk

Hopefully you can get some sort of programme for every game. All the best.

My understanding is that Swindon do produce a team sheet but not one which is made available to the press and public (I've seen an example). Possibly access is restricted to only a very few - maybe just club officials, club media and match officials. The example I saw just had the names of teams, club logos, competition and match squads. Not even a date for the match.

This is the Swindon v Donny teamsheet, like you say, lacking in detail (date, time and officials)

That's very interesting about Swindon - how did you manage to see that version of the Swindon v Donny team sheet?

Hi, I got the PDF emailed to me from the Swindon head of Media & Comms, the request was made by a contact at Doncaster Rovers Supporters Club.

The Swindon v Lincoln issue that I have seen (don't have a copy myself) is the same as the Doncaster one, obviously different team details.
