Looking to put a season to this small photo album I found (not stated in any of the text).
The 22 photographs are the usual clubs plus Walsall, Rotherham, Lincoln, Doncaster and New Brighton.
As the latter are included, I was guessing some point in the 45-49 era.
Any help appreciated.

Steve, Walsall were in Div 3 South after WW2 so it's pre war.

These 5 clubs were all in Div 3 North as follows:-

1934/5
1931/2
1926/7
1925/6
1924/5
1923/4

Walsall were up & down between 3 South & North a lot, New Brighton were in Div 3 North from 1923/4 onwards, Lincoln & Doncaster were both promoted to Div 2 for a season or two in the gap years.

So now it depends who the other 17 teams are in your book.

Thanks, Pete.

The 22 photos are:
Accrington, Barrow, Carlisle, Chester, Chesterfield, Crewe, Darlington, Doncaster, Gateshead, Halifax, Hartlepools, Lincoln, Mansfield, New Brighton, Rochdale, Rotherham, Southport, Stockport, Tranmere, Walsall, Wrexham and York.

I did wonder if it might be pre-war when Rotherham's shirt is stated to be "gold with black 'v' collar"

I feel sure it is 34/35. I’ve only seen York feature on one pre-war card and this was at the time that we wore chocolate a cream stripes. Please can you post an image of the card and I’ll probably be able to confirm. Thanks

Yes, definitely 1934/5.

31/2 Hull were in it and Wigan Borough resigned from the league.

26/7 Stoke were champions, Bradford PA, Nelson, Ashington, Durham City and so on.

Thumbs Up

Much appreciated - I'll upload all 22 photos to Flickr now, safe in the knowledge I can allocate the correct season to them.

One line stood out - the fact that Wrexham's Racecourse Ground was listed as having a "holding capacity" of 50,000.

Got me wondering why, when Wrexham never even made the Second Division until comparatively recently, they chose to construct a stadiium of such magnitude. I suppose it still is a fair old size compared to others at their level.

1935/6 Oldham were in it, relegated 34/5 and swapped places with Doncaster who won it in 34/5.

The teams listed were only in Div 3 North in 34/5.

There were 4 albums issued division 1 , Division 2 , Division 3 (North) and Division 3 (south). I think it was 1935-36 as I have had all 4 at some stage , but they all sold very quickly.
