Does anyone else get a feeling of impending doom for Burnley if the persons involved in buying the Club pass the "fit and proper" tests for ownership?

From the brief track record mentioned, if this takeover goes through, it looks as though another Club with a great history will slip down the leagues, if they survive that long.

There again I may be wrong.

"Fit and proper", "due diligence"........ just waiting for "robust" and "firm-footed" to appear. Straight out of the Government's Covid handbook.

What lies in store for Burnley now? I really hope not but life could get very interesting for them. Shocked

Charlton, Bury, Wigan.....

Overturned ban.....

Mr Farnell ticks all of the fit and proper person tests I think.

Argyle have no great love of Burnley ( play off semi defeat, relegation gloating at Turf Moor, partially offset by League Cup away win en route to semis final ....) but even so, what have they done to deserve this!

Most Plymouth post 1959 but plenty of others including reserves, friendlies, Cup Finals Internationals and Club issues, handbooks and other sports.

Agreed.

Prediction if they do take over the Club - they will promise Sean Dyche loads of money for new players which will not be forth-coming. Dyche will resign over it. They will appoint some unknown new Manager from foreign parts on the cheap. Relegation. Where has all the money gone?? Goodbye Burnley.

Do Burnley own their ground? If so it will probably be a housing estate or a Tescos in a couple of years.

Rumours in the local press that those Saudis who were thwarted in their attempt to take over Newcastle have now switched their attention to Derby.....
