There were matches in May 1906 against a Danish X1 and Southampton in Denmark in 1906 but no programmes have ever surfaced.

It is becoming apparent that programmes are unlikely to exist for some teams outside the British Isles. On these occasions I will eventually include programmes from Eire.

The new entries are

HARTLEPOOL
MACCLESFIELD TOWN
TRANMERE ROVERS

DUNDEE UNITED

DOVER
DULWICH HAMLET

This is the earliest known programme to have surfaced for United, it was in Germany during 1945-6 to my knowledge, as i mentioned earlier in the post.

The oldest Wimbledon one I have is against Legnau on 19/05/1956 but I'm pretty sure there was at least one during a tour in the mid-1930s that I'm waiting on confirmation on.

A tournament programme for two matches in the Viborg Tournament, 14/06/36 vs VFF Hold (Viborg & District XI) and 15/06/36 vs VFF Mesterraekkehold (Viborg).
If you're not counting tournament programmes then 21/06/36 for the friendly at Køge.

The oldest known Hearts away issues were;

02/06/1946 v Combined Services in Celle, Germany

19/05/1953 v AIK Stockholm, and then two days later v Djurgardens IF.

A tour of Germany in May 1951 doesn't appear to have produced anything.

These all pre-date the South Africa tour of 1954.

The Middlesex Wanderers centenary book has a picture of the programme for their match against Racing Club de Gand on 20/08/1908. At that point they were still known as Richmond Association FC. Their first known programme after the name change to Middlesex Wanderers was their very first match under their new name, 24/05/1912 away to W.A.F. (Vienna).

Unfortunately the perfect Eric Morecambe joke hasn’t happened though there is a Forfar 5 East Fife 4 in the 1963/64 season
