That’s so sad, and fairs will never seem the same again without his enthusiasm and sheer love for our hobby.

Sleep well, Gordon, you will be missed.

Y

Have just seen the tribute on Plymouth’s twitter feed. Only met him once at the BPA fair a couple of years ago, appeared a very sincere fella.

RIP

Lovely man and made the effort to get to small fairs up here in the north. He must have known he wouldn't make any profit after travel and potential hotel but was always there when I turned up.

The hobby has lost a true gent here.

RIP

I didn't know the man but can gauge the depth of feeling for him here and on Twitter. A true Football Man.

RIP Gordon, you will be sorely missed.

Sad news indeed.

I got to know Gordon from attending and then selling at several of his programme fairs.
The last time I saw him we were at Plymouth a couple of years ago and the event kept getting interupted by fire alarms going off which meant continually evacuating the ground.
Outside it was like the monsoon season had started, but Gordon's biggest concern seemed to be getting back in to draw his raffle for the bottles of wine he always provided.

A true gent.

RIP my friend.

Just the worst news.

I think as much as anyone in the past few years Gordon led the way in keeping our hobby visible enjoyable and sociable...and an intensely modest man....

I stood at a number of his fairs and they were always fun to do.

He will be greatly missed although I am not sure his raffle wine will be.

Ad Astra Pilgrim,

Nice man Gordon, always had a little chat, bought a few bits n bobs when he came up North, a real football man who will be sadly missed within the hobby and outside of it as well.

RIP
