Of great interest! Thanks for the link. It took me fully over 20 years to complete all 30 Palace Taddy cards. The 1908 ones took under a decade, the 1913 ones was painstaking, one at a time, with ebay searches set up for years!!! They did eventually reap dividends but it was an obsession!

Palace didn't have any cards in the Clips series, so my chances of a Palace triple crown are not possible.

I think even harder than getting complete team sets of 1913 Taddy cards is getting Pinnace 'Large' cards! Even the cabinet ones are easier to find!

Large pinnace (about the size of a modern football trade card) are like hens teeth!

Hi Dorking
I'm really pleased that you enjoyed my Taddy site.
I don't collect the Taddy cards - no Huddersfield in there - and only have the HTAFC cards in the 'CLIPS' series, but I have quite a few of the Pinnace cards, not just HTAFC.

I'd agree that the 'large' cards are tough to find; I've not picked up a new Town card for years.
But the hardest of all are the 'Cabinet' teams in Pinnace - they go for several (high) hundreds of pounds per card.
There are two of HTAFC - and Palace! - and I've never seen either in the flesh! Crying or Very sad

Roger,

An excellent site. Well done.

By the way did you ever find out what happened to the guy who hosted the Blue and White Stripes website? Sorry I have forgotten his name. I used to get pre-season programmes from him and then he just disappeared. I hope he is OK.

Kind regards, Martin

Darren Herbert.
He's still there, Martin, but he doesn't run that site any more.
If you want to contact him, he trades on eBay as yorkshirecollectables.

And thanks for the kind words of praise.
It's always nice to know that people appreciate the long hours spent putting these things together.

Traffic on both of the new sites - Taddy and Copes - is disappointingly low although it's hard to advertise such things when one is not on Facebook, Instagram or Twatter.

Two more to add to my "wants" then - I suspect that these were included in the recent 15 Taddy Southampton cards purchased at Loddons, hence the price paid

You are probably correct.
I only know that Matt Stevens told me that he was in a bidding war over these cards which came as part of a lot which cost him £4k and he really only wanted these two.
He'll be off-loading the others somewhere soon.

Not those then.
£4K was the total for the lot I am talking about.
