Thanks Les.
Last 2 seasons, I've managed to get 3 out of the 4 different corporate badges for the AFC v Palace game. This year looks like slim pickings.

I don't know how people in these areas get these badges, whether they have to pay for them, have to ask for them,or if they are just there for the taking, but a few ebay sellers seem to get no shortage of 'supply' of them!

I was lucky enough to get a Ticket in the Diamond Club a few seasons ago, I saw none of these badges.

I have read that you can buy them in one of the four areas for about £5 / £6 but have not heard any more about that.

I think the ones that make it to Ebay come from Staff like Waiters / Chefs etc picking up any left over badges.

I suspect you are correct. I am pretty sure one guy I bought from a few years ago worked as security.

I often exchange messages with the sellers and they are willing to get more badges, unfortunately it is for other games, and I only want them for palace games!

One day, someone is surely going to have a clear out and sell loads of them!

Haven't posted in the badges bit for a while!

I'm going to Man City v Palace on Saturday. I saw the badge below on ebay today.

It is a match badge for the very recent FA Cup game at the Etihad vs Port Vale

Not the greatest picture, but nevertheless it looks 'official' to me!

Reminds me of Swansea ones from a couple of years ago - very similar style. Also not too dissimilar from some Wembley official match badges of recent years.

Will be watching like a hawk for anything similar to appear for the Palace game!

Been to Man City v Palace today (a very reasonable 2-2 draw!)
Pleased to say a new badge to report!
On arrival at the ground, asked one of the fake scarf sellers if they had anu match badges, and the guy was most helpful. Said I should go to Mary D's Bar (next to Tony's chippy, so not far from the away end)

So I found the bar, and the doormen were very friendly and helpful. They said it's home fans only, and me being decked out like a red and blue Christmas tree wasn't any good. So I did my coat up, took off my scarf and hat, and they let me in.

It's a massive hall of a drinking establishment - can't imagine it does much trade apart from at City games! Nevertheless in one back corner of a multitude of bars, was a merch stall, and sure enough a badge board.

They do 50 match badges for every home game, so I was pleased to have made the effort.

I'll be surprised if there is much next season, grounds are going to be at about 30% capacity at best, most club games will be season ticket only, I can't see 'football tourists' coming to England at all, let alone getting a sniff at tickets.

In some ways, it's no bad thing to have a little rest from it and to reflect at what a mad world it is sometimes!

Hope they did not charge a silly postage rate like they do for the Panini cards

The seller was trickyspins, the main Derby badge maker & seller

He pretty much combined postage, I think each extra badge was 12p extra postage or similar

Happy to have acquired them in this 'desert of a season' for match badge collecting, but fully understand those who don't feel the need, or only buy 1 or 2 of the variants
