Need some advice here.
Listed a Subbuteo collection on Ebay and was listed as collection only but only for someone from Italy to buy it. He asked if I would post as it was a present for someone so against my gut feeling and listing I decided to go ahead so sent an invoice with postal costs with signature.
He didn't want to pay the post quoted so I sent it normal post to reduce costs for him. From 1 week I started getting hassle of where the item is despite me sending him the Tracking number but thankfully it arrived after 15 days.
now he is saying some of the boxes were not in the best condition (pictures shows this) and wants £15 refund or he is just sending the Shit (what he said) back to me on its own and claiming for a FULL refund.
what are my options here?

The best advice from a very long term Ebay user is don't send anything abroad. Simple as that! I only ever sell to UK residents and have had very little trouble Smile

Would tend to agree with that, other than I will use GSP as the risk is only between 2 UK addresses.

RE: your issue, 2 options that I see:

1. Call his bluff and get him to return the item
2. Claim against the postal service and give him a partial refund

No answer to you problem but for the last couple of years (if they do not use GSP) I only send item(s) over a value of £10 overseas using a tracked and signed for service.

Since then I have had not any claims for "item not received" and hopefully that will continue.

I don't post abroad, the other day I saw a listing the seller said he posts worldwide but won't post to Italy.

We have sent stuff abroad before and had no problems at all apart from an item which we sent to Italy (Seems there postal system is crap) and one of the items arrived damaged we also stated on the listing that we would not send outside the UK, but it doesn't seem to stop them bidding.

A few years ago I got in to Subbuteo/table football and there is a huge following in Italy. But In was warned that a lot of stuff goes 'missing' in Italy and claims on Ebay are rife, so I stopped selling there.
