Was this a successful fair after Gordon’s usual hard work?

The 12 traders present, which included three 'debutants', offered one of the finest arrays of programmes, badges and memorabilia available at any of the provincial fairs I have organised.
Unfortunately, only about 40 collectors attended, whereas we had nearly 70 at Bath City back in the summer.
Not many Bristol City collectors came.
Fortunately, those collectors present spent quite well, so some traders went home relatively happy, although some did not.
The BAWA club is a superb venue but it is expensive to hire, so we may not use it again.
There were suggetions that Bristol Manor Farm FC may be able to offer suitable facilities for future events.
Meanwhile, I am optimistic that the Wiltshire Fair at Swindon Town FC on Sunday February 23 and the Great West Fair at Bristol Rovers FC on Sunday March 8 will attract much larger attendances.

Disappointing after all the effort put in to organise and the variety and quality of items on display.

Will try and stand at one of the next two, but fewer buyers may result in a lesser number of sellers and it all becomes a vicious circle, really.

The location will normally dictate the collecting preferences of those present, and most club ‘specialists’ require very few items.

Not sure what the answer is, though.

Cheers,

John

I'd be interested to see what Cardiff spares you have John, so will probably go to next 2 fairs with a Cardiff City colleague.
