The thread is titled Best Ever Covers. This is probably one of the worst. The pink covered Middlesbrough programmes were produced for the whole of the 62/3 season. Has a club ever produced a worse one?

That takes some beating...zzzzzzzzzzz. My councils leaflet on wheelie bins looks more interesting than that..

This has got to be the worst, Very Happy

the bitterness towards the Baggies this bloke holds because we sold him is cringeworthy. I feel sorry for Wolves fans at times when he opens his mouth Mr T :

You're welcome Very Happy

How does it feel when you think you're biggest rivals played a major part in keeping your club going Cool

Some of the worst regular covers do have to be Albion's headless programmes from the 50's.

Best I think the Man Utd ones with the shaking hands.

Steve Bull talks a load of garbage sometimes "I hope they can see the Premiership flag in West Bromwich" total garbage. I would have Super Bob of Tatter Bull any day of the week.

I think that one just about sums Swindon, as a town, up.

Old programmes from the Soviet Union tend to have surprisingly colourful front covers, here are a few on ebay recently

Would anyone ever buy a programme because they love the cover?

Oh yes all the time, which then generally leads my collection off on another tangent. Some of the England programmes from the early 50s are great. My particular favourite is the 1952 England v Belgium game

http://www.swafootballprogrammes.net/item96.htm

Like surfinjim mentions above the Wednesday floodlit covers from the 50/60s are brilliant ..

The Celtic covers from the 70s with the 2 players on the front are also very striking. Got this one in my collection ..

and just snagged a couple more on eBay ..

Banbury Spencer from the 50s and 60s have amazing covers. They sell very well. I'm sure it's the covers that attract the big bids. They get my vote for best ever non league

Agreed, the Banbury are amazing, especially for non-league. My favorites are Hull 46 and Cardiff in the mid 50's with the all blue city hall cover, but I could be biased as I was brought up there!

I love the Arsenal programmes from the 1974/75 season. I liked it when one image was used for a whole season.
This is the first game I ever went to, and my first ever programme:

And the winner for the worst programme cover is....

1905 Chelsea v Liverpool Friendly (First ever match at Stamford Bridge)
Volume 1 Number 1.

What would this be worth in good condition sold at an auction house such as Budds?

£3000? £5000? £10000?
