I believe Ivor was England's oldest living international. 14 caps with 8 goals but lost his place as he was a bit outspoken and the competition up front was fierce.

A long career with 2 prolific spells at Carlisle sandwiching time and decent scoring records at Sunderland, Manchester City and Newcastle, and all followed by a season or two north of the border at Queen of the South.

And then a very long career in journalism. Sunday Express maybe?

RIP Ivor.

And who is now England's oldest living player?

Managed Carlisle United from 1946 onwards, he was succeeded by Bill Shankly in his first management role.
