Please check out this link https://flic.kr/s/aHsjvxNyHf

It will show a lot of the "Buff coloured Team Sheets" United issued for certain games in the FA Cup Cup up to 1956, Manchester Senior Cup, Gilgryst Cup[local Manchester Cup Competition] and some Neutral Games.

Also, the Cliff was used for some Salford Boys matches in the early 1950's.

The Ground was originally owned by Broughton Park Rugby Club who eventually sold to Manchester United in 1939 as United wanted a new ground to allow their players to train on and also to develop the Youth setup that was created in 1937.

The Cliff had "Floodlights" in the early 1950's well before Old Trafford[1956-7]and the now infamous wording written on the frail programmes "To Read Hold to the Light"

Some of these Buff programmes popped up on ebay a few weeks ago selling from poor conditioned at just over £200 to just over £500 and when on occasions similar turn up at Auction they can hit 400-500 + the commissions of 20 odd%, so these are really sought after.

As a kid I used to canvass the old houses around the Cliff knocking on doors/putting leaflet thru, offering a £1 if anyone had any!!-got nowt!
But found a few since then.....

Still got a bit more of them to add to the above link, add the odd few every so often.
