Looking for a little help if anyone can assist. The Army and the RAF met at Molineux on 22nd March 1950 with the line-ups being as follows -

I have been able to find the majority of the players christian names but am struggling for a number, can anyone help?
I have the following details:-

ARMY; Nigel Sims (Wolves), Tommy Jones (Everton), Percy Andrews (York City), Bob Stokoe (Newcastle), Jack Wilkins (Brighton), John Neilson (Queen o/t South), Jimmy Robertson (Arsenal), Harold Hassall (Huddersfield), Wilson Humphries (Motherwell), Alan Monkhouse (Millwall), Malcolm Clews (Wolves)
RAF: ??? Larder (Stafford Rangers), Ray Bilcliff (M'boro), ??? Barnicle (???), ??? Wilson (???), Alex South (Brighton), ??? Evans (Wales Amateurs), Jimmy McEwan (Arbroath), Jimmy Jackson (Notts Co), ??? Keen (???), Ian McMillen (Airdrie), ??? Sawyer (???)

The players listed without a club may be from non-league teams, however, I cannot say for certain. Can anyone help fill in the blanks. Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid I can't help you with any more of the names you have, but I am looking for a copy of the programme for this match and the 2 programmes for the Army FA played at Villa Park earlier the same year if you can help.

The RAF goalkeeper will be Bill Larder (William). He went on to play for Hereford.

There was also an Arthur Evans who was a prominent Welsh Amateur International in the 50's. Similar to the RAF line-up he was as a wing half and played for Machynlleth, Marine, Flint and Bangor City. Of course, this may not be the Evans you are looking for, but on the other hand it could be.

I'll send you an email Thumbs Up

I also have a date of 22/02/1950 Army v Aston Villa.
I'm not sure where I got that info from but it has been on my list for a long time so it could be wrong - if you have any ideas please let me know.
