Mike Barnard, Portsmouth player 1953 to 1959 has passed away aged 85. After leaving Pompey he played for Chelmsford.

He was one of a rare breed who played professional football and also County Cricket. He played for Hampshire for a number of seasons and he was a member of their County Championship winning team in 1961.
