It must have been exciting back in the day at Winsford United.

The Grand prize for the end of season draw was a Car.

Is this the best ever prize offered by a football club
Confused

The only new car my mum and dad ever bought was a 1974 Austin Maxi so I can safely say that, even in 1974, this would not have been the best prize ever offered by a football club

As the competition here was in 1983 I think I would have rather won a box of chocolates

Maybe 15 years ago at Palace they did a half time challenge called "On Me Shed" - a contestant had to kick a ball onto the roof or something - and the prize was - a shed!

At Leeds in the early 90's there was a prize of a house!! Not sure what the entry criteria was, but the last 6 had to go on the pitch and draw a key, if it fitted a door on the pitch you won the house! Or maybe it was the door, but i'm sure it was the house

To be fair, a 9 year old maxi from 1974 was probably the same value as a house in Leeds in the 90s.

We had a 73 Maxi, how it made to Gt Yarmouth and Cromer two years running was one of life's great mysteries

Same competition at Wolves - the shed had no roof and you to chip the ball into the shed from 20 yards or so.
