More sad news with the untimely passing of Darren Pitcher, aged just 49.

Youth teamer at Charlton who then played over 170 games for them, mainly in defence or as a defensive midfielder, before switching to Palace in 1994 and staying 3 years (64 league games) before injury forced his premature retirement at 28, though he played for Romford for a year or so later on. He didn't score many goals but he blasted one in from 30 yards for Palace at Wolves in the Cup.





Another sad loss, far too early. RIP Darren.

Two former Orient players that have died in five days now - neither reached the age of 50.

RIP Darren.
