Arsenal v Spurs Michael Watson Benefit

While going through some Boxing News Magazines that I am currently listing on Ebay, I stumbled across this full page advert for an Arsenal v Spurs Celebrity Benefit match to be played at Highbury on 28/3/93 for the boxer Michael Watson.

At the time I still lived in North London, had a shop opposite the Arsenal ground and was heavily into my football and boxing, but somehow this completely passed me by as I have zero recollection of it.

My Spurs record books and programme guide books do not mention it either, only showing that Spurs played a Testimonial that day at Crystal Palace for Malcolm Allison.

Does anybody know if a programme was produced for the Watson benefit?

Yes, there was a programme produced for it. The game was played between ex-Arsenal and ex-Tottenham players. I believe that there was also a women's game played as well, possibly Arsenal v Doncaster.

The programme shouldn't be too difficult to get hold of.

Hi.

I am pretty sure a programme of sorts was issued for this game, however, I think the game was played alongside an Arsenal Ladies Fixture at Highbury (probably against Doncaster Belles if memory serves). I will have a further look sometime this evening should I get time.
