We issue a catalogue as per the confirmation made by our fellow member.

A lot of people follow our website and just link on when the catalogue is released, the follow on is repeated on www.the-saleroom.com, again, as confirmed by RIKERBCFC, it helps folks to see what is available in the marketplace.

I previously listed some of the items we have, I will briefly update when we have completed the listings.

Hi there John and everyone at Mullocks.

A small detail on the catalogue but one you might be interested in.

On Lot 267 - 5 x Charles Buchan's Soccer Gift Books, it states in the notes that the 1954/55 edition was the first.

In fact, the first one was the season before, 1953/54.

This edition is quite scarce and had Birmingham City's Gil Merrick on the front panel of the dust wrapper.

For reference and a view of that 1953/54 edition which starts the annual by annual review about 20% down the post, see the brief guide article I put together on my blog;

https://www.goalsandwickets.co.uk/football/football-annuals/charlies-colossus-amongst-the-boys-football-annuals-a-brief-guide-to-charles-buchans-soccer-gift-book/

I hope to see you on the day but if I can't attend, I shall definitely be bidding online Smile

Just an update following my original post, the football commences at 10 AM, the rugby the day before commences at 1 PM. Viewing, for the football, is virtually all day on the 25th and 9 am to 11 am on the 26th.

Included in the football auction is the 1954 World Cup final programme, also 1966 world cup ephemera and tickets plus the England squad autographs including Bobby Moore all signed at the time.

We have Shrewsbury Town pre-war plus pre-league, FA cup final tickets from 1950s onwards plus the 1927 final ticket. Loads of FA cup final programmes plus semi-finals from 1946 onwards plus the 1921 FA cup semi-final Cardiff City v Wolves at Liverpool.

We also have an album containing very rare 1923 FA cup final photos(original) with rare crowd scenes and team photos with the accent on Bolton Wanderers(the winners).

We have a collection of South African national team tours to England 1953, 1958 and to Australia 1947 plus 1937 Aberdeen tour medal,1953 Dundee tour photos, all in South Africa plus others including George Best, Bobby Moore and Stan Matthews.

Wolverhampton Wanderers collection to include 1888 v. WBA, 1901 season ticket plus others right through to modern times,1906 Taddy cards of Prominent Footballers, and Wolves away friendlies 1946 Oxford University,Gestrikland,1948 Brighton,1949 Bohemians,Edinburgh,1957 Real Madrid,1971 Marsa (Malta), 1972 Jersey Wanderers plus tour matches abroad 1951 Rhodesia, 1957 South Africa, 1963 +1967 USA plus others.

We also have Wolves reserves from 1945 to date plus Youth, 'A' team, and scarce modern reserve friendlies at Compton training ground.

We also have Manchester United big matches including away 1967/68 v Sarajevo European cup, plus youth team and reserves, tickets, a 1958 scrapbook, plus two Recaro seats which were situated in the United dug out (just think about having those in your car!), many other items as well.

We also have Newcastle United v Renton (Scotland) 1909 friendly match programme-----Renton the former 'world champion football club' who in 1888/89 beat WBA (FA cup winners) and Preston North End ( the invincibles) in friendly matches. Amazing club Renton, Scottish FA cup winners in 1885 and 1888 and from a town of only 2,000 people!

It does not end there, we have a Colin Bell match worn England shirt, Scottish programmes including Hearts, many boxes of goodies to alert the expertise of the guys with knowledge and patience, football cards, badges, with Goal, Shoot, Buchans and Topical Times in various lots.

If you cannot be with us why not register on www.the-saleroom.com where you are able to watch even if you do not wish to bid.

Loads of items have not been specifically mentioned but you still have plenty of time to look at our website or go to the above link.
