Maybe I have missed this but I have just noticed that buyers and sellers email addresses appear to no longer be sent. Usually the address is found on the PayPal transaction but appears to have stopped in the last month.

Presume this is common knowledge ?

I also assume there is no way now of contacting people other than through ebay messages ?

PayPal

If you go to "summary page"

click on any of the transactions to open up payment

click on "See details on classic site"

That will show you all the details inc e mail address

Just checked my email receipts for payments made ....

20th May they showed the seller's email address

23rd May they didn't and they don't now.

Same thing on my Paypal summary screen too.

I appear not to have a "classic site" option.

I believe that new regulations around privacy and data protection have caused the removal of how e-mail addresses used to appear.
A couple of weeks ago I was bombarded by dozens of companies advising me of upcoming changes.

As others have said already, on Ebay's you've sold message, the e-mail is still there and on paypal you just need to click on the transaction summary to find it.

It took me a while to find them when it first changed, but they are there.

I believe they call it......progress? Laughing

It's where the buyers information is Hibernian.
Underneath the price, quantity etc it should show buyers name, user ID and then in blue the e-mail address, just above the contact buyer link

Thanks Five but defo not showing in either - item sold and awaiting payment or you've been paid emails from ebay.
Very weird, are you a business seller maybe ?

At least I can still get the info from PayPal classic site if required.( thanks pompeypete).

I would have thought its pretty obvious E-Bay and their cohorts at Paypal dont want you to sell outside E-Bay so its another way as said above to stop you contacting anyone, it keeps their cut ( BIG CUT ) at the maximum. I can see as said that the e-mail address is still shown for sellers on the Summary Page, even after the sale has been completed ( thats on the Desktop and classic sites ) however i suspect if you delete it from your Summary page once everything is done ( sold, sent, feedback given, feedback received) you wount be able to find it again ??? Oh and im NOT a business seller
