It was a charming little stand, but looked weird with the awkward extension.

They are two completely different stands in the pictures. The opening post shows the Town End stand behind the goal which was demolished mid 80's. The second pic is of the main stand on Bawtry Rd.

The car park behind the stand, was the worse surface in the history of mankind, some cars would disappear down the potholes.

Agreed. It was even better after it had rained heavily. You could easily put your foot in one up to your shin lol.

I went to Doncaster v Palace in the league cup in 1975.

My best memory of the day was someone had been sick in the town centre and either the perpetrator or someone else had placed an apple on top of the heap.

Palace lost 2-1 which is why it was probably the highlight.
