How about this for a random ticket?

Grand Football Rally & Discussion, Croydon, March 1947. Signed on the back by 3 Palace players, Ted Harding, Fred Kurz & Fred Dawes.

Free admission on a Tuesday evening.

I wonder how many turned up? One can only dream about the topics up for discussion.

Never seen one before, a little piece of Croydon football treasure.

Nice item and unusual as you say Pete.

I see the date was originally scheduled for a Thursday night.

Did they have to change it because of Europa Cup commitments?

Smashing item mate, I love ticket oddities like that.

Pete would have been there too, he was only in his early thirties at the time.

Smile

That season was the original "Big Freeze" too wasn't it, with league games still being played in June.

According to the local newspaper, one of the topics for debate was caused by Palace's narrow failure to win Div III South a few years earlier (1938/9). The proposal was that Welsh clubs be kicked out of English football. It wasn't carried.
