Quite a rare West Ham away in Europe - relatively small print run and only 47 West Ham fans travelled to Armenia - the next issue of the West Ham programme wrongly stated that no programme had been issued so obviously none came back via the official party. Nevertheless they do turn up every now again, usually go for around 200-300 pounds
I saw one recently on ebay and the seller was the sort who usually listed run of the mill programmes for 99p so a bit unusual. I checked it against my original (which I bought in 1986) and a friend's who bought it earlier than that
Scans below but I could see the following differences
1. Width of the white border differs
2. Less shadow on the ball
3. Lines of the ball less defined
4. Printing of the words in the middle is lower and to the left
5. Printing of the words at the bottom is lower
6. Under the ball the vertical line between 1 and 8 is slightly longer
7. On the pitch markings they are \ \ \ rather than / / /
8. In the top tier of the stand facing us the some of the lines are continuous rather than broken
9. The wording at the top is printed in a different position (closer to the mountain)
10. The printing of the mountain is slightly different
11. The shade of blue is different
12. 75 in top right is less defined
Interested to hear from any other West Ham collector who has this - which does your's match - where and when did you buy it and is it possible that they re both originals? (considering how many differences between them).
(Before you ask, yes I contacted the seller and he just replied he bought his as an original and did not reply any further)

I strongly suspect the ebay one is a reprint. Even looking at the scan I have my doubts.
They played Cork Celtic in 1974 and the programme from Yerevan is also very rare. a reprint exists that sometimes is passed off as an original. |

I actually had a copy of this which I acquired from Stig Forsingdal. (Anyone remember him?) Stig was based in Luxembourg but had some real European gems around the mid 70s at very reasonable prices. Apart from this issue I remember getting Liverpool aways at Servette, Slask Wroclaw and Dinamo Dresden.
Anyway, I eventually sold the Erevan issue in 1994 for around £15 so someone eventually got a bargain. just like I did when I bought it off Stig! |

Stig Forsingdal is still based in Luxembourg and trades on ebay as trille123tennis. His current listings are a mix of mainly German programmes and a collection of Bradford Park Avenue programmes on buy it now.
Over the last few months, he has listed a few nice items. He is good to deal with. |

I also dealt with Stig in the early 80's. He turned up some quality European issues at the time. |

There is a catalog of the programs of the matches of the Soviet teams.
This program is from there.

Would be grateful for some more input in this one as my issue is on 'old' style paper, appears to be the real deal but notice the difference again in the printing
I have this with other European issues which look 100% original and from a remix me source.... |

What is a "remix me" source? |

Maybe the predictive text version of 'reliable'? |

Haha, probably
Anyway, I was being very polite in my original post, I'm reasonably convinced the ebay programme was a fake |

Cheers remix!
Seriously though mine isn’t the one off eBay and feels like old paper but who knows! |

Dave Alexander from Football Wanted is a West Ham expert - he might be able to help |

On a slightly different matter - Osijek v WHU Intertoto Cup, my programme is a loose leaf photo copy - is this correct?
Cheers Paul |

Hi Paul
That doesn't sound right. I was at that game and managed to blag my way into the directors box to get a programme, I am away until Friday but from memory its about 24 pages, A5 size and stapled. Also this was UEFA Cup not Inter Toto
