Scotland will play end of season games this year in both of these countries.

Long shot, but can anyone shed any light on whether either or both issue anything resembling a programme? I can probably guess but worth the ask!

I am sure the Photoshop-jockey in Holland will produce some glossy "souvenir".
On my only visit to the Azteca there was no programme.
There are sports papers in the city though.
Great place, well worth a visit.

I'm looking forward to it, fingers crossed for something!

No idea re Peru but I have definitely seen a Mexican national team programme in recent years. I cannot recall who it was against and have done a search but no joy.

Now they may only issue for competitive games but worth keeping an eye out.

Is it worth an email to the Football Associations of both of those countries just asking the question and if so where could you go to receive some copies.

It may be an obvious move but surely got to be worth a try?.

Also you could contact the Embassies in the Uk and ask who is responsible in handling the marketing which may give a more direct approach to get to the source itself?.

Thankfully, I have never had the urge to be obsessed with England programmes and will collect them where a United player has been in the team but have to say in the main pre-1970 and in particular for matches abroad as the homes are 10 a penny and as interesting as man flu! Laughing

Thanks Gary.

Leslie - I'll be at both games so hopefully something turns up. A fellow Scotland collector who will also be there, is quite adept at calling FA's to enquire and pre-order if necessary which I'm sure he'll try nearer the time.

Just wanted to see if there was a definitive YES/NO beforehand.

A little further info from an Irish friend who has seen Peru play at home. All that was available was "a beautiful colour teamsheet".

We are checking to see if anything was done for the playoff v New Zealand.

ok a further update see quote below from a response I got back re Peru.

"I would be fairly sure that programmes won’t be produced. My friend , who has followed NZ home and away for many years, went to Peru and came back with about 8 different newspapers with previews and the result. Some were specialist football papers and some weren’t but there was no programme as such."

No mention of a teamsheet but worth checking out.

Thanks for your help Gary, great to have a heads-up like this. I'll be hitting the Lima news-stands then by the looks of it, and sourcing teamsheets.
