Whilst sharing some of my more interesting items, I thought PNE fans would enjoy this photo album page with 4 No. real photographs of the participating teams...

Preston North End,
Young Fellows Zurich,
Karlsruhe,
Young Fellows ( 2nd Team).

There may have been others?

Each picture measures 5x4 inches, and are dated 17 May 1911. I also picked up 6 postcards of the participating teams. I often wonder how many people have seen these images?

Humanity having fun, so close to World War 1.

Hope you enjoy.....and of course delighted to learn more.....over to you.

Correction....the date is 17 May 1913, not 1911 as stipulated above.

Great to see this, keep them coming.

Young Boys I'd heard of, in fact seen them play at Ibrox in the 70's but Young Fellows is a new one for me.

Boys/Fellows - probably lost in translation?

Lovely stuff though Balti, you have quite a selection. Good work.

Good old Wikipedia advises that Young Fellows Zurich were dissolved in 1992, but reformed again and now play in Division 3 of the Swiss League pyramid.

Not to be confused with Young Boys of Berne of course!

Cheers, Ian
