Very similar Villa ones from early 90's (I think).

Some of these designs were originally made in the 1970s too, possibly by Coffer. Like Ron says, there are more modern versions around (Nineties / early Noughties), but they're quite easy to tell apart in the flesh.

The older versions are generally worth around the £10 mark.

Nice badge buddy.

PS. Meant to say, I can't see the badge too well and my eyesight isn't great at the best of times, but this looks like one of the older versions at first glance.

Can't quite see from the photo but looks similar to my 1970s P & G sports badges?

Thanks for the info up to now but does anyone know why it's not in Burnley's colours?

Perhaps it's been left on a sill for too long or something at some point in its life, compromising the colours, these were "typically 1970s" low production items.

Cheers for the info Holtie, I'd always wondered who originally produced these.

Sadly, like a lot of badges (such as the Gomm Balls), my team never featured.

Sad

It's not faded. The green and black colours are deep and rich so I would guess it was produced for a special match. Can any Burnley collectors help?

It'll be away colours then I'm guessing.

Burnley did have a green and black shirt in the 90's which apparently was a 3rd kit. Not sure if this alludes to the badge though?

You would want to see a better picture before any commitment. Can you post a better picture of the back and front as the pin is sometimes a clue to age

This badge has been made remade several times and if it is of the P&G range is probably stamped as such.

I've had several of these badges with colours I've not expected, was explained to me once that in the later editions the colours have related to a player within the team and his nationality though only heard that the once so treat it as such.
