Good to see Tranmere Rovers have decided to revive the Christmas madness and crazy results of 1950s and 1960s football .Boxing Day 2017 Tranmere 4 v AFC Fylde 1. New Years Day 2018 AFC Fylde 5 v Tranmere 2. Love it!

Just as I remember it Pie, and just as it should be 6-6 on aggregate never mind about away goals. I bet the supporters weren't kicking lumps out of one another, more likely enjoying the banter and good natured p-$$ taking.
Amazing that sort of turn-around used to happen quite often, an Xmas
Day misery often turned into Boxing Day joy, never mind "resting" players
there were hardly any players to rest never mind 25 man squads who need
much more rest and I'll bet in a lot of cases there was not enough time to
dry out the players only pair of boots before the next match. they kept us
entertained though.

Happy New Year to all

A similar thing happened with us Pie the year we came up from the Conference (2012/13) - despite being ultra consistent and never being out of the top 3 all season, we somehow conspired to produce these festive results ...

BD - Forest Green 1 Newport Co 2

NYD - Newport Co 0 Forest Green 5

Very Happy

Similar for Cardiff Met this year:

Boxing Day: Lost 1-0 v Barry Town with an abject performance
New Years Eve: Won 3-0 v Barry Town with a great display

We had a similar madness with Charlton in the early sixties ...lost 4-6 there won 6-4 the next day at home ( or vice versa)

Still 10/12 this festive period points wise so happy(ier) days

HNY to all
