Thanks to John Holroyd for hosting the Auchinleck Talbot fair again, also to Derek Hunter (marooned) without him giving me a lift I wouldn't get there.

I have to mention in here for his amazing service and going above the call the service of bee07. Topman and amazing person. He had, well could get hold of two priceless wants of my Runcorn list. He came up with a scared single sheet which to me is priceless and the first ever competitive away game both games v Barnet in 81/82 season. Wonderful bloke got some background information about games also from him that I didn't know of,v Barnet for following season and for the FA Trophy 3rd round 3rd replay for which there wasn't a programme produced which knocked another one of my wants list. then when the programme and single sheet arrived they arrived on my birthday just like fate. The Programme and the single sheet turned up on my Birthday which was Beautifull and fate for me. I asked him how much and I told him to name a price and I'd send him money for them but he's refused outright. I can't thank this Gentleman enough. Respect Regards and a Hugely big fantastic gesture of Appreciation. Clap Thumbs Up

My sincere thanks to Kenny kcs for the superb Gillingham v Palace 1950/1 programme which arrived today.

Palace were bottom of Div 3 South on 24th Feb 51 and that's where they stayed with only 1 win after that date. This current season started even worse than that one (PL 7, L 7, F 0, A 17, PTS 0). I nearly chucked my season ticket away and so nearly transferred my allegiance to the mighty Sutton Utd. But I kept the faith, of course I did.

As did my granddad and brother in 1950/1. Of course they did!

Just finished ' Harry Catterick The Untold Story Of A Football Great' Rob Sawyer de Courbertin Books 2014. .Worth checking out by any Evertonians out there. What struck me was when the then Everton Chairman,, John Moores, interviewed Catterick for the job in 1961 , Moores told Catterick that he wanted him to create a team that made Goodison Park known as the School of Science. When Catterick asked him." what happens if l create a team that plays brilliant football and then gets relegated. Will l get the sack?" Moores confirmed that he would indeed be given the push. .
Fast forward to 2017-18 season .l am beginning to think that the Everton hierarchy really did think that Everton were/are in danger of relegation this season, and Big Sam ( four shots on target by the Blues in their last four games) has been brought in purely to keep Everton up. The attractive football will have to wait.Wouldn't fancy a season ticket at the moment!
