I feel your pain mate, the last two seasons have prematurely aged me.
It's amazing the torture we fans put up with just for a moment or two in the sun (which makes it all worthwhile btw). In no other walk of life would we tolerate such grief, if it was a woman we'd divorce her in a trice. Yet divorcing our team just isn't an option, no matter what they put us through.
In that respect alone, football fans really are a strange and wonderful bunch.

Fair do's, there's some great stuff on here, I expected it to be a thread of terrible souvenirs, but I'm finding it all both fascinating and beguiling. I hope this continues to run & run. I'll chip more bits in, but didn't want to bombard the thread.

The 1990 and 1994 World Cups provided a glut of 'quality' merchandise for the great Irish sporting public. I'm unsure of the provenance of this beer glass, but it may have been liberated from a public house some 23 years ago

That picture came out sideways, but there's a certain enjoyable irony about that, which fits with the thread so I'm leaving it as it is! Laughing

Full size, custom made, thick, weather proof roadsigns, which I had done about twenty years ago - and still have no idea what to do with ...

Very Happy

... I'm sure they seemed a great idea at the time though ...

Some mini-models of Football grounds, made from resin and attached to a wooden plinth. I think these originated in the mid 90's so the grounds will have changed somewhat since then, especially White Hart Lane.

ST. JAMES PARK

A friend took a holiday in Brazil a few years ago and took in a game at Club Atletico Mineiro. Outside the ground a beggar was making these cars out of old tin cans foraged from a nearby rubbish dump. My mate brought me one back as he thought it a more interesting souvenir than a scarf or pennant - all the more so as the beggar making the cars was blind!

Yes, they saw off Ipswich U-19's and Huddersfield stiffs, and the worthless season ticket doesn't cover cup ties.
