Another one who had the collectors kit and a few bundles from Steve Earl. For whatever reason I recall a York City in the bundle (c.1980?) which was basically a pamphlet (v Halifax or Rochdale or someone like that) and thought “that’s a bit shit” so resolved then to concentrate on Hearts and not waste my limited pocket money on rubbish Laughing

Does anyone still have catalogues from that era?

Yes, I got the programme collectors kit - can't remember much about it apart from a couple of stickers that were included and a buff coloured cardboard folder, but no doubt it had a notebook for making lists and so on. Simple but innovative, and fondly treasured by myself as a kid as I was very serious about 'doing it properly' LOL

Who knows if in some small way it was the earliest beginnings of a lifetime working as a Council record keeper?

I can't remember much about it either, but I do recall that my favourite bit of the kit was the cool "Programme Seller" coaster.
I had that on my bedside table for years until I left home to shack up with a bird at 18.

Went down the same route, swap Rangers for Hearts, even to the extent of getting the York City pamphlet.

I found mine this evening lodged between some 80's Progs that have been gathering dust for years. I certainly got my use out of it looking at those tea stains.
