... launches tomorrow ... on Freeview and all other platforms bar Virgin Media. They will show the England U21 qualifiers live too.

Not top drawer admittedly, but fine for those of us that can't afford to / refuse to give Murdoch a pony every week.

This Thursday.

FreeSports is a sister channel of Premier Sports and will be on all platforms except Virgin Media.

It'll have 10 live games per week from Portuguese Primeira League (2 games), Belgian Pro League (3 games), Superliga Argentina (2 games), Spanish La Liga 2 (1 game) & Irish Airtricity League.

It'll also have programmes from Barca TV, Bayern TV, AC Milan TV & Dortmund TV.

Other sports will be shown as well such as rugby league, motorsport, ice hockey and French horse racing.

Ah.....that explains why I can't see it on my Freeview thing this evening!

I should have read your prose with a tad more care.

I read it in the paper on Monday or yesterday, so I've been to bed since then (terrible short term memory), but I think it said it would be on FV Ch.95 Steve, so if you re-tune your telly tomorrow evening it should be on there.

I think it said it kicked-off with an England U21 game too.

Not top footy by any means, but has got to be better than endless repeats of Midsomer Murders and Steven Segal films! I'm quite interested in the Irish League footy that's been mentioned - I'd sooner watch that or lower league Scottish football than any European league to be honest.

I'll have some of that.
I've never paid for sport on tv and never will.

My defence to the missus is that we spend more than enough going every Palace game home and away, plus all England homes, and you can see highlights of everything if you are patient

I happily watch anything on ITV4, channel 5, womens, youth cup whatever.

Must admit its been a bit weird seeing Everton on ITV4 for European qualifiers, as I thought BT Sport had all those.

This sounds alright, just hope its not HD, as I lost BT Showcase because they made that HD and I cant get that.
