London teams information

[LOFC]

What does anyone know about the London Baseball League, competed in by football teams like Leyton, Clapton Orient, Spurs, Arsenal and Fulham.

Any info on the league, mainly after Orient facts like when they played in the League or photos of the team as well, I can only see two photos at the moment.

Also any pictures or scans of the programmes would be great, thanks.

I came across a reference to Baseball a few days ago. A match between Essex County Cricket Club and Occidentals was played on 7th April 1890 on the old County Ground in Leyton. It was not well attended.

I hadn't seen that before, I am mainly after after details on the London League founded in 1906 but that is a really interesting fact.

The only result I have involving Leyton is that on 14th July 1906 they beat Fulham 26 to 16. Was unaware there was any league.
