Hi All, I've come across a huge collection of European football books and magazines from approx 1970 to the present day focusing on five of the top European countries (England, France, Spain, Germany and Italy).

Aside from the magazines which I'm really struggling to know what to do with (lots of World Soccer, Onze, Kicker, Juve, Barca and Inter club magazines, Miroir de Sport, Marca... etc), are there any modern English football books (or indeed ones from the other countries that I've mentioned) which stand out in terms of value (I don't think there are any Breedons there), for example, club encyclopedias, general books on the game?

These are all in very good condition with dustjackets intact. I would add a list but there isn't one and there are hundreds to wade through...

Worth having a scan through the foreign mags for any UK/Irish clubs in Europe interest- Leslie has already called priority on ManYoo! As you're no doubt aware on many occasions continental clubs didn't (and still don't) produce programmes, so the relevant contemporary club magazine becomes highly collectable.

A quick search on abebooks or alibris should help you work out if you've any rarities- good luck!

Would be interested in any books 'similar' to the Breedon complete records, that contain results and line-up grids.

To get an idea of price, goto www.webuybooks.com or www.ziffit.com as these will give you some indication of the value. If it's less than a £1 it generally isn't worth anything on the open market, if it comes up higher, you maybe worth listing it on ebay or amazon.

Failing that, you can offload a lot of dross with them and they pay postage

"called priority" Confused

I replied to a fellow member asking a simple question, for any other United collectors or interested parties on the forum, all of which can make contact with the poster, I have no "monopoly".
I know the poster Matt well-we have met in the past and done a few things together.

This is a general forum no one has any more rights than anyone else and I can assure you that if some members found something exciting re MU I would be the last person they would ever contact for 100% certain, but as I know who they are then I do not expect to hear from any of them so no sleep lost on my part, I will continue to deal with the other 99.5% in a friendly and respectful manner.

Thanks. I think my best foot forward here will be to take some photos and upload them here so that people can view and advise. Will try to achieve this sometime this week.

No offence meant Leslie, I've no doubt you'd offer generously for anything required, 'called priority' was a clumsy phrase to use, apols! Bow

If you have a list of books available send it across and I'll see what I can do in terms of some kind of valuation / checking if books are scare etc.

I currently have approximately 1,000 football books, the majority being UK club hsitories as well as bound volumes of AFS annuals etc.

Hi All, here are some photos of the books. There are loads more so I may have to put them all in dropbox unless someone would like to suggest a better option... Do let me know if you have any interest or know any values please. Thanks in advance.

Here are some more photos of 'modern' football books for people to peruse and advise on if they can. More to come in due course (I haven't got time for dropbox at the moment):

More photos of books - let me know if you're interested or can provide any valuations please. 12 more photos to come tomorrow and then that's it. If anyone knows of any specialist book collectors or dealers who may be able to help me, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

The last few photos - not a massive response so far - no interest or just wrong time of year, too many photos to check out...etc? Anyway, if anyone has any good ideas of where or to whom to sell some or all of them, please let me know. Cheers.

OK, thanks, I'll look and see what there is. Bit surprised/disappointed there's not been more interest in the items in the photos, to be honest, but if that's the true reflection of interest, fair enough I suppose.
