Post subject: Premier Programme Fair London 3rd June - FULL DETAILS
Reply with quote

The biggest programme fair of the year takes place on Saturday 3rd June 2017 when the annual Premier Programme Fair is staged at London’s Royal National Hotel, Bedford Way WC1H 0DG 11am – 4pm.

Since the event moved the Royal National in 2010 the attendance has been a consistent 700/750 collectors which is by far the biggest fair attendance in the UK. The number of dealers exhibiting is also by far the biggest assembled this year. I would urge all forum members to make the effort to come along.

This year we have 30 dealers occupying over 100 tables! As well as presenting their usual high quality stock and all this seasons big match programmes a number of dealers have taken extra space to bring along many thousands of additional programmes to sell at £1 each or less!

As well as adding to your collection and chatting/putting faces to the names of the dealers, the fair represents an excellent opportunity to meet fellow collectors and forum members for a chat/swop/drink etc… The hotel has a bar and there are numerous restaurants in the vicinity and at the nearby Euston/Kings Cross stations.

I have listed the participating dealers so far below (in no particular order) with a brief stock summary. I have also included their business email addresses should anyone wish to make contact for particular requests.

Stuart Kennedy – A debut appearance for Stuart, Kenners39 on the forum. Wide range of programmes with a particular speciality in Crystal Palace, Tottenham and big match issues. [email protected]

Not having been to a programme fair for 15 years or more, I'm really looking forward to this!

Hoping that some of the dealers will have Charlton (home and away) and Scottish league programmes (70/71 to date).

Cheers!

Will do - thank you! After a gap of not collecting for 15 years, I'm still going through and re-cataloguing my collection - and I'm only up to 74/75. I had wanted to have finished it in time for the June fair, but I've pretty much run out of time now!

So it might take a while for me to get back to you with my wants, but I'll be able to check from 60/61 to 74/75. Think we played you a fair few times in that period.

Thanks again!

Thanks for letting me know, not sure if I have too many from that period.

Would it be easier if I send you a list of what ones I have and you can check as you go along or at the end?

OK, that sounds good - thank you!

btw, really sorry to see what's gone on at Orient this season. Such a good club and ground - it's horrible to see what's happening to you. Hope you bounce back soon.

PM sent is the same as what follows;

Hi again,

I thought that I had a lot more Charlton but I came across the following which I thought you might like;

Teamsheet - Orient v Charlton (PSF) 16/17 (I have about six copies)
Orient v Charlton (LC) 90-91 (Team changes)
England U21 v France U21 (U21 Euros. Play-Off 1st Leg) 05/06 at Spurs -
5-by-1 inch fold across top right corner.

May also be able to get 2-in-1 programme, Orient v Charlton & Gillingham (PSF) 2016/17. Would give you O's v Gillingham team sheet with it (Have about six copies)

The U21 international contains Darren Bent, Jerome Thomas and Darren Ambrose representing Charlton. You might be like me, I collect Orient players in International matches.

I'm very sorry it isn't more, I thought I had others. I will let you know if I find anymore.

Regards
Davis

Ps. Just to let you know that I will chuck in Eton Manor RFC v London Irish Wild Geese and Eton Manor RFC v Westcombe Park, is you take any of the above. Hope that helps.

After a very busy fair at Pudsey yesterday, I am now busy preparing for the Premier Fair this coming Saturday.
It will be my fourth visit to this fair as a stall-holder (my first visit five years ago was as a collector).
This fair is the 'Big One' each year, and is well-organised by David Allen.
Regarding my stand, I try to cover all aspects of second-hand programme collecting: Big Matches (Internationals, Finals and Semis); A decent range from virtually all League clubs in England and Scotland plus a few from Ireland (although with a slight bias for West Country clubs as I am based in Plymouth); I shall also have a wide range of over 400 English and Scottish Non-League Clubs programmes with me, including v League Clubs in the FA Cup and in Friendlies, (again with a slight bias for West Country Clubs); plus a range of Reserve and Youth team programmes and Teamsheets.
Because I travel widely throughout the country attending Fairs, often buying more programmes than I sell, I am constantly replenishing my stock, so collectors often find something on my stand that they are looking for!
If any collectors wish me to bring any specific items to this Fair, please contact me by email on or (preferably) before Friday: [email protected].

With the able assistance of an extra pair of eyes and hands in the form of the missus, NWM Football will have a large three-table stall on Saturday, which will include the following....

BIG MATCH PROGRAMMES. Comprehensive selection from the 1940's onwards, including all F.A. Cup Finals from 1948 to 2016, Football League Cup Finals (including a few pre-Wembley issues), F.A. Charity Shield, Semi-Finals, F.A. Amateur Cup, Trophy & Vase finals, Scottish Finals & semi-finals http://www.nwmfootball.com/finals-semi-finals/

INTERNATIONALS. Good selection of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland & Eire homes, plus a handful of aways. Couple of recently acquired original 1966 World Cup Final programmes available, plus items from Euro '96 etc. http://www.nwmfootball.com/international-matches/

EUROPEAN COMPETITION ISSUES. Finals and wide range of programmes featuring British Clubs in the European Cup/Champions' League, Cup Winners' Cup, and Fairs-UEFA Cup/Europa League http://www.nwmfootball.com/european-competitions/

PRE-1960 FOOTBALL LEAGUE. Stretching as far back as an Aston Villa v. Sheffield United programme from December 1909 !!! Being based close to London, clubs from the Capital feature heavily, but there are plenty of items to suit collectors of other clubs too. (Please note, if space allows, general 1960's League programmes will brought along too, which would also include items from the Liverpool collection recently purchased, though not yet added to stock lists). http://www.nwmfootball.com/classic-corner/

PRE-1970 NON LEAGUE. And for collectors of the amateur/semi-pro game, these gems may be of interest to you, http://www.nwmfootball.com/non-league/pre-1970-non-league/

CLASSIC MAGAZINES. Charles Buchan and later issues of Football Monthly, Soccer Star, Goal and early issues of Shoot (up to 1976) will be available. The website lists detail the front and back cover pictures, team pull-outs etc, so have a browse through these lists to see if we have magazines featuring pictures of the teams and players you followed as you grew up ! http://www.nwmfootball.com/classic-magazines/

COMPLETE SEASON SETS & CUP FINAL SPECIAL DEALS. If you are looking to build your collection quickly and cheaply, how about some of the items featured here ? Complete season sets http://www.nwmfootball.com/complete-season-sets/ from a number of clubs, while a selection of bargain bundles from this range http://www.nwmfootball.com/cup-final-special-deals/ will also be available.

1970's TOPPS CARDS. Check your wants lists against these here and see if you can fill some gaps at just 50p each http://www.nwmfootball.com/topps-football-cards/

SHIRTS & SPORTSWEAR. Proved popular last year, so items from http://www.nwmfootball.com/the-shirt-shop/ plus some player issue shirts detailed on http://www.nwmfootball.com/name-number-please/ will be on sale once again.

We'll also have a selection of books (including a handful of signed autobiographies), football DVD's plus a number of older items on VHS, a few folders of programmes covering Non-League in the F.A. Cup, Friendlies & Testimonials, plus a box of other bits and pieces including handbooks etc, available too.

If there items of a more general nature listed on nwmfootball.com you require at the Fair, please make contact, preferably no later than THURSDAY, so the items you need can be picked and put aside for you. [email protected] is the e-mail address, while 07922 047375 (did the Southampton Fair on Saturday, and an Antiques & Collectors' Fair in Coventry yesterday, so it's switched off today !!!) will be on bright & early tomorrow.

Whether or not you come & pick up anything from NWM Football, I wish you ALL a happy and successful day's collecting !

Look forward to seeing you on Saturday,
Lee.

Looking forward to having a stall once again at the country's biggest football programme fair.

I have just obtained a nice Tottenham Hotspur collection of home programmes from the 1950's & early 1960's which include Trial matches from 1950/51 & 1960/61,single sheet reserve matches & handbooks including one from 1958/59 which has been autographed my most of the 1st team squad.

Space permits how much stock I can bring so either check my website www.football-program.co.uk or drop me an e-mail at
[email protected] if you want anything specific to be brought along to the fair.

Look forward to seeing some of the forum members on Saturday.

Cheers
Martin

The two biggest fairs in London are:
The New Year Fair which in 2018 has already been advertised as being held on Sunday January 7. This usually takes place in the Galleon Suite (two sections, A & B) at the Royal National Hotel, Bedford Way, Russell Square, WC1H 0DG. NB: There are very few parking restrictions in the area on Sundays.
The Premier Fair is likely to be on Saturday June 2, at the same venue. It is slightly larger, and takes up all three sections of the Galleon Suite (A, B & C). Being on a Saturday, there are parking restrictions in the area. However, a full day parking in the Hotel basement works out at around £14.
I hope the above is helpful.
Speaking for myself as an individual - and I appreciate some dealers may not have had the same experience - yesterday's Premier Fair was the busiest I've had in the 4 years 9 months that I have been trading.
Many thanks to David Allan and John Lister for organising the event. And special thanks also to John Chapman (known to many, no doubt, for his sterling work for the Dagenham & Redbridge Programme Shop), who gave up his time to assist me voluntarily on my stand - much appreciated!

Yesterday was my first programme fair in over 15 years, and I really enjoyed it. Picked up lots of good bargains. Thanks to all who helped to organise a great event. Roll on, January!

I thought the fair seemed really busy on Saturday which is great. Picked up a couple of nice bits. Hopefully a profitable day for the dealers too. Looking forward to the January one already.
