Thanks for the photo! Actually it'll be very different to that one as it was played at a different stadium, Ferencváros' own stadium which was re-opened just months previously.

I can't help with a scan of the ticket for the Cardiff match but here's a scan of the ticket for the Ferencvaros v Liverpool played in November 1974 in the ECWC - It was the next round after Ferencvaros beat Cardiff so obviously the Cardiff ticket should be similar.

There were no match details printed on the tickets at Stadion Ulloi Ut they went off match numbers (Liverpool was number 23)

everything is completely fine. I just wanted to confirm that it is normal that you know exactly where the stadium is playing your team. I sent you a photo ticket with my team hosting the same opponent. I did not know Ferencvaros played in a different stadium at the start of this season. It's always a problem with tickets from Hungary because they are mostly unmarked names of opponents

@1980Cossie, I've seen this on the excellent lfcineurope.com website but is this ticket yours? If possible, I'd like to know more about it and why it's thought this is for the Liverpool match. The style is much different to other tickets from the 74/75 season (all-green or half-green, half-white) - this style pictured here lasted for around 15 seasons from 1976-77 until the early 90s, with various slight differences but obviously that doesn't mean it wasn't used as a one-off earlier - I just don't have any evidence of that.

Indeed, this ticket is perhaps most reminiscent of the style used in 1985/86 (as evidenced here: http://www.magyarfutball.hu/hu/merkozesek/1985-10-05/ferencvaros-mtk.

The ticket does state it is for a ECWC match (stated in the bottom left corner) which, if true, narrows down the search but also might lead us to a dead end more quickly.

Any further help would be much appreciated.

And @matt_blue, thanks for the image of that. There is another magazine which was weekly back then and usually had more in-depth reports and previews of matches than that monthly FA issue. I'll see if I've got one and send you an image.
