Hi. Can any Liverpool collectors assist me with an item please ?

I have picked a large collection, mainly consisting of Liverpool homes running from 1962 to 2013. I am starting to go through them, and have come across one which I'm pretty sure is a bit on the scarce side.

It's a single sheet from the re-arranged game, Liverpool v. Aston Villa during the 'big freeze' from February 1963. (For some reason, I can never work out how to load pictures on here properly). Condition wise, it has the score/scorers neatly noted, and a very slight tear on the left hand edge. Printed on one side only.

I have seen the original postponed issue from December 1962 listed on various other dealers' websites for a few quid, but not this one.

Any thoughts ???

Cheers,
Lee

Hi - the last one I saw sold for £40 in near mint condition about six months ago.

Hope that helps

Lovely, thanks for the infor Andy, much appreciated. Ebay fodder rather than 'proper' auction material !

Thanks again - all the best,
Lee

It's a beauty alright and a bloody hard one to get hold of. I inherited my old uncle god fathers Liverpool homes collection. He's got every match at home from 62/63 to 89/90 bar one, and its this beauty. Re arranged Feb 13th issue. The original postponed is hard also to find Jan 31st but this re arranged single sheet is a stunner. I'll give you 40 right now my friend on the spot for this one.

My comment about the postponed game date is wrong. My memories on the subject were a bit wrong. There is no postponed game from Jan 31st on this subject. Apologies if anyone has been misled by reading my comments.

The postponed Liverpool v. Aston Villa is dated December 29th 1962, which seems to pop up on dealers' lists for between £3 and £5. (Oddly enough, the only '62-63 home missing in the collection was the Villa Pp).

I very nearly missed finding the single sheet, I'm flicking through every programme in the collection, and it was tucked in the programme either directly before or after it. My first thought was "shit, some bugger's torn a page out". Haven't decided how I'll be disposing of it yet, too busy working through the rest of the collection at the moment

The next season when there was a severe winter was 1978-79, when a lot of games were 'lost' in January/early February. For a few weeks during the early part of 1979 Liverpool were leaving the programmes undated as the fixture back log built up.
