Hello everyone. My name is Karl & I'm a Sheffield Utd supporter. Well, really I am quite excited about finding this forum. Populated with lots of fellow football programme nerds & nutters. Wink

I've been collecting programmes for as long as I can remember. Started when I was just a 10 yr-old lad with my first programme from my very first football game. Blades v Arsenal FA Cup 3rd round Jan 1978. Arsenal won 5-0! A baptism of fire. Still got the programme, creased, ripped, doodled on, it's beautiful.

Mainly it's been Sheff Utd programmes but recently I've found a new lease of collecting life by specialising in friendly games involving English clubs at home to overseas opposition. I've also got a fascination with the floodlit friendlies from the fifties so get hold of those whenever I can.

I've scanned some of my programmes & post them onto my flickr stream.

I've also got a football blog called Footysphere that I update a couple of times per week.[/url]

Welcome to the forum. Ive just had a quick through Flickr and thats a nice unusual collection you have there. Im sure some of the members on here should be able to help you with any info you require and if you need a list of Cardiff v European teams i should be able to sort one out for you and also i probably have a couple spare.

Hi Karl, it's good to see someone else feel the same about "a tatty piece of paper" (quote from the misses) as most of us on here.
You have one up on me too, you saw David O'Leary score a goal, that's something I never saw !
