Looking through some bits to list on Ebay, I found this tie pin.
It looks to me that the badge has been added to the pin at a later date than the badge itself.

It may not be football related at all, but it's obviously the stadium image.

Does anybody know exactly what it relates to or have an idea of it's age?

No details on the back to help, so over to the experts Sherlock

With the lion at the top, I wonder if it is to do with the 'Empire Exhibition' of 1924/5 (for which the original Wembley Stadium was built)?

The original name for the stadium was 'Empire Stadium'

That was my initial thought Dorking, but I talked myself out of it for absolutely no reason at all.

As Dorking rightly says Five, it's from the British Empire Exhibition of 1924/5 mate, there are a quite a few different ones about.
Both pin badges and tie-pin badges, nearly all of which have the lion on them.

I've got one of the medallions, which I liked because it had the stadium on it.
He's spot on about the name of the stadium too - up until the early 80s, it was always called "The Empire Stadium Wembley."

(It says "Imperial Stadium" on my mine, but I've never heard it called that anywhere else)

Cheers Wiggy...and Dorking.

Like you say there are a lot of different ones around.

Here's another medal that I currently have on Ebay.

That's a very nice medal mate, I like that one too.
I only paid about a tenner for mine too, if that, it's pretty common and not worth any more.

Some of the Empire Exhibition badges are made from mother of pearl shell, they're usually up around the fifty quid mark and quite nice.
