I'm not sure of the seasons but the first four numbers on the bottom right of the ticket tell you the date it was printed so you have for the middle 2 tickets 1312 (13th Dec) & 1303 (13th Mar) and 1311 (13th Nov) and 1811 (18th Nov)

Hope that narrows it down for you but a trip to statto.com should help Wink

I think the one you have adorned with 'Sharp' on the bottom is post 1982. Hope somebody can help with others.

I forgot about the sponsors!

Yes you need to see when they were involved and that should narrow it down.

I wish it was that easy!

Utd haven't played either Liverpool or Palace on those dates.

Thanks for the reply, hope I'll find out soon!

My mistake, the dates they were printed, not played.

If that's accurate, I've sussed it!

Rocky: your Utd v Boro ticket us 27/03/76. The price of £1.40 is correct for that season, after that they climb in price considerably

I was just replying but you beat me to it!

Some Leeds tickets are similar where a date or season isn't indicated. You have to work out the figures in the numbered code.

A very poor image of the stained ticket-possibly the first game after the Munich Air Disaster v Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup-i would need to see a clearer image to be 100% Wave

this is one from that match https://flic.kr/p/6e247U

different colours but it could still be the same game.

Still trying to figure out when this is from though.

From what I can tell, Utd have only ever played an FA cup tie on the 15th of a month in 1979 excluding Premiership years.

This can't possibly be from 79 priced at 2/-

Anybody who can help, please do!

i have just replied-15th February 1958 was the original date of the FA Cup Match v Sheffield Wednesday-then came along Munich, so the match never took place until the 19th February-this ticket is from that original cup tie and the staining looks more like the shadow whilst it was been taken. ok Wave

Looks dentical to me Les, thanks.

A bit worse for wear this one, staining is on the ticket, nice little surprise though, but I didn't realise the match was played 4 days later than originally scheduled!

Any idea on value by any chance?

Paul.

not enuff to retire i am afraid Laughing

check out ticket sales on ebay to see if it came up recently and at what price but of course allow for the condition which will affect it greatly, but nothing wrong with it perhaps until a cleaner copy could be found. Wave

Not enough in my entire collection to retire Leslie, unlike some Wink

I've had a look, can't seem to find any recent sales though.

Still a nice surprise to find out it's such an important ticket I'd imagine.

I'd be tempted to keep him mate.
Nice bit of footy history.

Absolutely, very happy to find it amongst a few hundred Utd tickets that I've had for around 5 years and never gone through!
