You see it's not only American owners who rip the bollocks out of teams that have been the life blood of a community for a century or more
If i understood the Hearts situation correctly they didn't even know the owners of the ground,or where to find them

Is that any different to the current plight of Glasgow Rangers where fans have to fight tooth and nail over ground ownership, copyight of the club name etc

How do these people pass the fit and proper person test with the relevant football associations

Hi Treble,
You are right, Hearts have had a very rocky road with the Robinson and Romanov era's. There has been some success, however Romanov tarnished the clubs name with many of his antics. The Scottish Association passed some new 'fit for purpose' rules based on his behaviour. Although it will be interesting to see if they would ever have the bollocks to implement them on any proposed new 'owners' or 'directors'
I see it as a Road to Redemption now via the Foundation Of Hearts and the great work the club are now doing in the local community through our Save the Children sponsorship and 'Big Hearts in the community.
I really think we are on the road to regaining respect and becoming a well run club living within our means. The fans have played a massive part in this by supporting the club financially and when it was needed most.
As I have said over the last couple of years 'Onwards and Upwards.

PS, I am still missing a couple of Hearts v Manchester United USA tour programmes Smile

any football club will do as good as possible when the fans and the community are involved

That's the mainstay of football which is tradition

I now sit in the nobs lounge at Old Traffod
The reason?
The International lounge is now in the same spot as i stood with my father when it was called the Stretford End
Now it is the International lounge in the West Stand
With these tossers(all clubs have them) i fully expect to one day sit in the cup of soup stand in the Coca Cola ground

Say what you like Newcastle play at St James Park and Arsenal play at Highbury
End of for me

Go on then which Hearts v Man utd are you missing
I am sure one will be in New York 22/5/1960
A single sheet American soccer news that i have only seen once on at auction ebay.Went for a grand about 10 years ago.Underbidder was £999.99.

Most fans of these clubs don't realise that this game was given a trophy.
It was called the Commonwealth Cup

This is what you are looking out for in case you haven't seen it before

Very Happy Very Happy

Interestingly, the above 'programme' is also listed as a hard to get item in John Ure's Hearts Programme Guide. A trophy was also awarded to the winners of that game (the Empire State Trophy) which I believe Hearts won 6-5 !!

I have the above programme and am aware that it is extremely scarce. I wondered if anybody knows what it is worth?
